Okta Collective's hybrid lecture and screening will consider how the machinery of language, painting, science, pseudoscience, religion, and mapping have attempted to harness and represent the natural world - that which is dynamic and beyond rational faculties of the human mind. Through the entry point of the sky and all that it bears - contamination, rainfall, mythology, void, and timelessness - the program considers how natural phenomena and subconscious emotions and powers have attempted to be controlled and rationalized, and how we may let go of this need to control as a mode of environmental ethics. The event is about 45 minutes long in total. To attend this screening, please RSVP to
