OPENING: Diffused Archive

Pitscher: Diffused Archiv (2026)

Since 2023 a social experiment on AI image generators has been running on the web. It takes your image, translates it into text, and then back into an image. Revealing all kinds of biases baked into current AI models. The platform is diffusion.cam— the first artificial social network. Over 2000 images fed through the machine. Users photographed themselves and their surrounding, Florence-2 captions what it sees, Flux regenerates from that short description. A closed loop where AI watches AI reconstruct phone photos. The dataset leaked and will be accessible at panke.gallery.

With contributions by Lorenzo Aimo

Pitscher is an artist and software developer living in Tokyo, Japan. Interested in our relationship through and with technology, he investigates the shifting tides of digital communication. Through performance, installation, and online interfaces, he questions the social constructs that new technology creates. He graduated from Bauhaus University Weimar and the University of Art & Design in Linz. He exhibited and worked with international festivals, galleries, and museums such as Ars Electronica in Linz, transmediale in Berlin, NTAA in Gent or the Xie Zielong Photography Museum in Changsha, China.
